It's not what it looks like

I decided to clean out our frige and lost track of my little one at the same time. I heard TJ in the living room laughing and walked upon this site. Actually when she saw me she got really excited and started rubbing the parmesan into the carpet. If you could see the picture close up you would see that she had been trying to eat it and that the remnants look like she was trying to snort it.

Birthday Fun

I have to apologize for how blurry these pictures are. TJ and I both have cameras and they are slowly getting worse and worse.

We just celebrated TJ's 29th birthday. We went to Ogden to hang out with TJ's mom and sisters. They got him this cute birthday cookie and treated us to dinner.

We went bowling on TJ's actual birthday. It was a lot of fun and Asay was a good sport.

TJ is done with his internship and I am so so glad he is finally home for good. We love this guy!

She needs her daily caffeinated beverage just like any other girl. I know this picture looks so terrible but I assure you that TJ drank it and she was sucking on an empty pop can.
She works on her tan. The funny thing about this picture is that she got out of the kiddie pool(leaving TJ and I) and went to lay down.

Wait... this isn't very girlie. She caught this grasshopper on her own. The poor thing didn't have a chance. By the time I pried it out of her fingers it was in the shape of her palm. So gross. She did a little dance after she caught it. So proud of her little self.

4th of July Weekend

I actually took this picture a few weeks ago but it seemed like a good idea to throw it in with my 4th of July pictures because my brother was a veteran. This is his new headstone and I think it turned out awesome. The dog is an actual picture of my brother's dog.

We started our weekend in Logan at the Crusin'. It's seriously the biggest car show I have ever been to. We left without seeing all the cars and we never do that. Here is Asay with her super cute sunglasses.

Waiting for the fireworks to start. I loved all the neighborhood arial fireworks this year. One of the good things about a wet year.

I am so grateful to live in this country and I appreciate the men and women in the military who fight for my freedom everyday.

Shumway Family Reunion 2011

We went to Vernal this past weekend for my family reunion. It was great to catch up with family that we don't see very often. We went to The Green Lantern, the lake, had family dinners, and just spent time together.

There's nothing like propping your leg up to help you sleep better.

Also... I just thought this picture was so adorable. Her hair is a little crazy because she was playing peek-a-boo with my nieces sweater.

My Girlie

So I have never really posted about Asay and her cute personality and milestones. So I thought I would post a few.

Asay LOVES Bauer. Bauer does NOT love Asay. He gets her laughing harder then anything else. He knocks her down... she laughs, he gets fed up and gives a warning nip... she laughs, he hides in another room... she finds him and laughs. She also recently found out how much she likes my sister's cat Rambo. He beat the crap out of her in like two seconds (like only cats can) and she still follows him around.

She can tell you what a kitty and a doggie say. When she sees a cat she meows. Sometimes she says ta tu (thank you) at the appropriate time. When she throws a fit or gets mad she yells MOM instead of mama. We do a lot of ignoring these days because she has started throwing little fits. She thinks using a cup is about the coolest thing ever. She brings me her shoes because she wants me to put them on her. She loves walking around in my shoes or TJ's. She loves putting bracelets on or anything that could pass as a bracelet. She loves making piles and putting things in other things. Sometimes I am shocked at what she fits into other things.

She loves beans, corn, any pasta, brownies, and cookies. She does not love fruit but she does love fruit leathers. She prefers water to juice. She has vanilla wafers every day. We do not run out. It would be the end of me.

She loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! She loves shows that sing the whole time. She loves Baby Signing Time but the only sign she does is dog. I love that she is finally old enough that she likes to watch shows in the car when we travel. It has made traveling so much easier.

She loves being outside. She loves jumping on the tramp or going down the slide at the park. When she gets nervous she does this smile that only shows her bottom front two teeth.

I feel like I have been writing forever and I could go on forever. I won't though.
